Our latest Special Release placed 8th at the Peru Cup of Excellence with a cup score of 88.73. This makes it the country's highest-ever scoring natural processed coffee.
It's an impressive achievement for a producer relatively new to natural processing, but hardly a surprise. The first time we featured coffee from Eli's farm, La Palma we were blown away by the fruit complexity and impeccable cup clarity.
When we learnt he'd taken 8th place at the last CoE competition we had to get our hands on some of the winning lot and we're very glad we get to offer this exceptionally clean coffee.
Expect refinement—Eli's uncompromising commitment to quality presents with a lush, jammy texture in the cup, date and malt sweetness, and a chorus of fruit complexity carrying notes from candied orange to guava, all held together in elegant balance.
